  1. Marko Kraguljac: You guys took cold war glasses off. But it seems lenses are still in place. You just need to be outside US to perceive these attempts at analysis as softer form of patriotic programming. For example: I really dont care what Biden had to say to Medvedev or whether he is a great friend with Justin Beiber. Explaining what both bullies were fighting for in Afghanistan would be a different story. Explain to us their business, not their advertising. Cut to the root.
  2. normalais: The point of NATO is to protect europe from the totalitarian russian empire. We in Baltic States love NATO.
  3. AlaskanAltitude: The "war on terror" is poorly defined (despite anything the govt says) and as a covert war it would be more dangerous than ever. Look at jackasses like rep King who are scared of all Muslims. Pussies like that would see enemies everywhere, and before you know it we have 100k troops in Afghanistan. "Oooooh enemies everywhere. Kill them all." 99% of the people we have killed are friendly, they just don't like invaders. The most dangerous are our "friends" who coax us into these insane wars.
  4. 1 KoolKat: could not agree more, the war on terror at most should be a covert secret war fought the same way the terrorists fight with random strikes. The current equation is too costly and ineffective.
  5. Roddyoneeye: Is he going to defect ? (One Can Hope)
  6. Mujtahid Haque: What is the point of NATO? And Biden says that RUSSIA is stuck on a Cold War mentality?
  7. AlaskanAltitude: @DiNatalli The Israel lobby (incl neocons) have been the biggest pushers of the "war on terror" nonsense, but the defense lobby has been playing that dirty game for many decades. The one common denominator of all America's wars in the last 50 years has been political pressure by senior officials working for the defense industry. The neocons are amateurs compared to defense lobbyists (though the two overlap quite a bit). Muckety is a great site to research that complex web.
  8. Terance Wapasuce: in 10 years the US will be broke and won't be number1 in the world so how do they think they would be able to take on russia or any powerful country so why is this even a topic. The US is going from year to year cause of the fed, wallstreet the goverment and over blown budget thinking 10 years down the line is foolish and thinking the USA can take on russia, china or any other country without bring back the laws and getting back there country from wallstreet,UK,Israel and all others is idiotic
