- Maria Fusco: The church always waits to pray when someone gets sick. I had the same confirmation experience nearly 10 years ago that we need to be praying for our health while we are well as a covering against attacks. It's not magic but it pushes against the forces that come against us as God's children. I used to get bronchitis regularly. Not any more. I rarely need an aspirin for a headache. Thank you for your emphasis on prayer. It's something the church with walls have totally abandoned.
